A Dreamy Collaboration & Engagement Session Giveaway

When two creatives, a wedding photographer from West Virginia and a wedding florist from Virginia, unite, that’s when magic really happens. It all began with a simple “follow” and a reply to a story. Before we knew it, we were deep into planning, exchanging voice messages, sharing inspiration pictures, and setting dates. That’s how Aster & Bee (that’s me!) and Zoe Evans Photography hatched the idea for our engagement session giveaway – all thanks to Instagram!

Our vision? To craft a styled session for a genuine couple, weaving their engagement dreams into reality among the blooming crepe myrtle trees at the Estate at River Run in Maidens, VA. (Trust me, this venue is straight out of a storybook!) 

After looking through all of the amazing applications, Abigail & Jace’s love story simply stole our hearts. They embodied authentic, head-over-heels, just-engaged bliss, and we knew they were the perfect match!

Designing the bouquet for this engagement session was an absolute joy. September falls right in the heart of dahlia season, one of my favorite times of the year. There’s nothing quite as elegant as a bouquet filled with dahlias. I aimed for the flowers to complement the deep pink hues of the crepe myrtles and harmonize beautifully with the chosen dresses for the session. Through a blend of garden roses, dahlias, sweet peas, and ranunculus, I crafted a bouquet that truly captured the fun, whimsical look of the session. After this, I’m fully convinced that each engagement session would look better with a bouquet in hand. 

Meeting Zoe in person was so funny, because it felt like we had already met a million times before (with all of our instagram voice chatting). Not only is she an incredibly talented photographer, but she’s also one of the sweetest souls you’ll ever meet. She kept Abigail and Jace laughing the entire session and her guidance on posing created a seamless experience. Need proof? Just take a scroll down *wink wink*.

As expected, Abigail and Jace were true stars, more than deserving of being styled to perfection. Their love for each other was nothing short of awe-inspiring. It was a genuine pleasure to meet these remarkable souls, and I’m eagerly awaiting to see where their love story leads.
