Mount Ida Farm weddings have a way of feeling both expansive and intimate, and this celebration captures that contrast perfectly. Set against Charlottesville’s iconic Blue Ridge backdrop, the day embraced a clean, all-white floral palette layered with soft textures and gentle movement. Paired with the venue’s sweeping vineyard views and subtly glamorous touches, the entire atmosphere felt like spring in its most beautiful form.

This venue offers four distinct event spaces across its expansive 4,000-acre farm and vineyards, each blending countryside charm with modern aesthetics. For this wedding, guests were welcomed by the venue’s signature contrast — pastoral mountain scenery paired with sparkling crystal chandeliers and polished architectural details. The result? A landscape that feels both grounded and elevated.
While the florals were monochromatic, they were anything but simple. For the ceremony, a wooden arbor was transformed into a floral sculpture, cascading greenery intertwined with layers of white blooms, framing the mountains beyond without ever competing with them. Low, meadow-inspired arrangements lined the aisle’s entrance, giving the feeling of walking into a garden of wildflowers.
Inside the reception, the florals shifted to be more understated. Minimal bud vases dotted each table, letting the indoor venue shine while keeping the atmosphere elegant, cohesive, and quietly romantic.

For her bouquet, the bride embraced a white-on-white palette with airy texture and natural movement. I layered the blooms intentionally to bring depth and freshness into Abby’s look. The arrangement featured cosmos, lisianthus, spray roses, and ranunculus, creating a soft, garden-like design that mirrored the surroundings.
Abby’s sweetheart neckline gown seamlessly complemented the florals with intricate details along the bodice and skirt. Meanwhile, her groom’s deep blue suit and brown accents added a nice contrast, complete with a simple boutonniere.
Every detail of this Charlottesville celebration was thoughtfully chosen — from the monochromatic florals to the sweeping views of the Blue Ridge mountains. This led to a day that was refined, romantic, and effortlessly intertwined with the surrounding landscape.
